My experience at trying to buy an Apple iPhone 4 in Montreal

I arrived home Friday night from my camping trip. Too late to go get the new Apple iPhone 4. Though it did cross my mind but the thought of my wife's response as I headed out the door and she was left with unpacking and putting the kids to bed, was enough to kill that idea.

July 27, 2010 - It is hard to keep up with all of Apple's product refreshes and new product announcements these days. Today they have made some more announcements, sans the drama of a scheduled event. Don't get too comfortable because on Friday the iPhone 4 will be released in Canada along with 16 other countries

July 26, 2010 - Apple issued a press release today announcing that the iPhone 4 will be available in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Hong Kong, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Norway, New Zealand, Singapore, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland on Friday July 30, 2010.

Monday July 26, 2010 the US government announced that owners of the iPhone can legally unlock (more commonly known as 'jailbreaking') their handsets and install unauthorized 3rd party apps. Until now, it has been a violation of Apple's Terms of Service. Though, many had believed it to be a legal grey area.
